Five Emmys, One Wedding, Zero Chill

Fresh out of a star-studded marriage to Travis Kelce. And already picking up hardware? Yeah. Just days after walking down the aisle at Madison Square Garden in New York, Taylor Swift landed a new high. Her 2025 concert doc Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Full Final Show snagged five Primetime Emmy nods.

Big deal.

It premieres December 12, 25, on Disney+. The footage? It’s from the wrap-up stop in Vancouver, at BC Place. Per Deadline, the categories span the technical weeds. We’re looking at Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded, the one she actually takes home), Best Directing, Picture Editing, Sound Mixing, and Technical Direction and Camerawork.

Five for one project? That’s a career peak for her.

Think about the gap. Before today? She didn’t get another nod since 2015. Not one. She won then, for some interactive media bit with American Express. AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience. That was her lone trophy for a decade. Until now.

She’s swimming with heavyweights, obviously. In her main category, she’s up against Dave Chappelle’s The Unstoppable… and a revival of The Muppet Show. Plus Nikki Glaser and a Wicked special. In sound mixing, it gets murkier. Stephen Colbert’s show. The Muppet Show again. The Oscars. And Bad Bunny’s halftime show on Apple Music.

Who has the best ears in Hollywood? That’s the bet.

But let’s rewind a second. July 3 was the wedding. Friday night. A thousand people packed inside. All her people. Selena Gomez showed up with Benny Blanco. Lena Dunham was there. Gigi Hadid held Bradley Cooper’s hand. Ed Sheeran, obviously. Karlie Kloss. The Haim sisters. Kelsea Ballerini. Suki Waterhouse with Robert Pattinson. Even Adam Sandler said the words. He officiated it.

“Now, it looks like Swift has four more reasons to keep partying.”

Actually, five. Count them again. It’s not about closing the chapter on romance or music. It’s about keeping the lights on. Loud. Uninterrupted.
